Detroit Key Market Visit
Detroit, Michigan | Jan. 31 - Feb. 2, 2018

TEP hosted a key market visit to Detroit to target automotive industry executives and site selection consultants in the Detroit market in conjunction with the Feb. 1 Detroit Pistons vs. Memphis Grizzlies basketball game. In-office meetings were also held with more than 20 companies and consultants while in the Detroit market.

Tennessee Songwriter Dinner at IAMC Spring Forum
Savannah, Georgia | May 5 - 9, 2018

TEP hosted a Tennessee songwriter dinner featuring Tim Nichols on Monday, May 7 at Cha Bella's in downtown Savannah in conjunction with the IAMC Spring Forum. Attendees represented Adient, BlueScope Properties Group, CMS Energy, Eastman Kodak, E Smith Realty Partners, Keyser, Norfolk Southern Corporation, Opus Development, Philips Lighting, Sonoco and Southern Petroleum Resources.

Atlanta Key Market Visit + Coverings Conference
Atlanta, Georgia | May 8 - 11, 2018

The tile and ceramic industry is continuing to grow throughout Tennessee, and TEP once again capitalized on this industry by planning an event around the Coverings Conference. This year’s Coverings Conference took place May 8 – 11 in Atlanta, and the Tennessee Economic Partnership worked closely with the State of Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development to host a well-attended reception at the SkyLounge on Thursday, May 10 for select Coverings attendees, as well as area site selection consultants. While in Atlanta, TEP also scheduled nine in-office meetings with Arnall Golden Gregory, Avison Young, CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, Deloitte, Hart Corporation, Mohr Partners, Norfolk Southern Company and Pegasus Partners.

Chicago Key Market Visit and Cubs Game
Chicago, Illinois | June 6-8, 2018

TEP hosted a key market visit to Chicago last week. Twelve in-office meetings were scheduled with companies including BDO Consulting, Biggins Lacy Shapiro and Company, CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, Deloitte, Epstein, Euclidean5 Advisory, Hickey and Associates, Grant Thornton, Newmark Knight Frank, Szatan and Associates and Transwestern. Our group then headed to Wrigley Field to host a suite for consultants and prospects to join us for a fun afternoon of networking and baseball at the afternoon Chicago Cubs vs. Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game.

East Tennessee Red Carpet Tour, August 16-19, 2018
NETWORKS Sullivan Partnership will host a Red Carpet Tour around the Bristol Night Race. Consultants will arrive on Thursday evening in time for a casual welcome dinner. On Friday, guests will tour regional facilities and hear presentations from the area's existing industries during the day before a songwriter dinner featuring Grammy award winner Tim Nichols with regional economic development partners and officials and exploring the nightlife of downtown Bristol. On Saturday morning, the group will head to East Tennessee Distillery for a tour and moonshine sampling. The weekend will culminate with a VIP experience at the Bristol Motor Speedway Night Race. TEP members who are partnering in this event include Blount County Partnership, Knoxville Chamber, Greene County Partnership, Northeast Regional Economic Partnership and TVA. West Tennessee Red Carpet Tour, August 16-19, 2018
Greater Memphis Chamber will host a Red Carpet Tour. Consultants will arrive on Sunday evening in time for a tour of the Rock and Soul Museum, followed by a reception at Beale Street Landing with live music by The Consortium Memphis Music Town. On Monday, guests will hear about Memphis Business Assets during morning sessions, followed by a tour of Graceland during lunch and an afternoon bus tour of Memphis. The evening will consist of a dinner at Blues City Café with the FedEx Hub Tour following. On Tuesday morning, the group will hear about discuss workforce advantages of the region at the University of Memphis, and there will be a tour of Stax midday before guests depart. New York Key Market Visit, October 24-26, 2018
TEP will host a key market visit in New York this fall. In-office meetings will be scheduled beginning on the morning of Oct. 25 through lunch on Oct. 26. We will host a songwriter reception at the Opry City Stage on Thursday evening. TEP attendees are asked to make travel arrangements to arrive the evening of Oct. 24 to begin meetings the morning of the 25th.
