Tennessee Reception at MRO Americas

MRO Americas is the premier event for the commercial air transport maintenance, repair and overhaul industry, and TEP hosted a reception in conjunction with this year’s event in Atlanta. The Tennessee reception took place at Terminus 330 on Tuesday, April 9 for select MRO attendees. The event was well-attended and led to four projects, 400 jobs and two leads that are expected to turn into projects in the next six months.
Tennessee Reception at Coverings

The tile and ceramic industry is continuing to grow throughout Tennessee, and TEP once again capitalized on this industry by planning an event around the Coverings Conference. This year’s Coverings Conference took place April 9-12 in Orlando, and the Tennessee Economic Partnership worked closely with the State of Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development and Tennessee Valley Authority to host a reception at B.B. King’s on Wednesday, April 10 for select Coverings attendees. It was a successful, well-attended event.
Tennessee Reception at SAMPE

TEP co-hosted a Tennessee reception with the Composites Coalition on from 6-8 p.m. on May 21 at Essex Bar & Bistro, which is walking distance from the SAMPE Conference at the Charlotte Convention Center. The reception featured brief remarks from Doug Lawyer of the Composites Coalition and TEP board, as well as John Hopkins of IACMI - The Composites Institute.
Tennessee Whiskey Tasting at Select USA

TEP sponsored a Tennessee Whiskey Tasting Reception at the Select USA Summit. The reception was well-attended, taking place at the State of Tennessee ECD booth on June 11 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. as guests sipped on Gentleman Jack, George Dickel Sour Mash No. 12, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey and Prichard’s Tennessee Rye Whiskey.
Lunch with Governor Bill Lee & Commissioner Bob Rolfe

TEP hosted a lunch and intimate conversation with Governor Bill Lee and Commissioner Bob Rolfe for top site selection consultants in the Chicago area. The lunch was well attended with representatives from BDO, Biggins Lacy Shapiro, CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, Global Food Properties, Great Wolf Resorts, Kate McEnroe Consulting, Newmark Knight Frank and True Partners Consulting.
East Tennessee Red Carpet Tour

TEP will be supporting the upcoming East Tennessee Red Carpet Tour hosted by NETWORKS Sullivan Partnership. The event will include a Welcome Dinner in Kingsport upon arrival, followed by a full day of opportunities to learn about the region from existing industry and community partners on day two. The evening will then showcase a singer-songwriter night featuring Grammy award winner Tim Nichols. Saturday will be devoted to a moonshine distillery tour and the Bristol Motor Speedway Night Race.
Memphis Blue Carpet Tour
September 18-20, 2019 | Memphis
TEP will be supporting the upcoming Memphis Blue Carpet Tour hosted by the Greater Memphis Chamber. The event will include a Welcome Reception and the FedEx hub tour on the first evening. On Thursday, the group will tour St. Jude, then head to Crosstown in the afternoon for lunch and presentations by EpiCenter, Memphis/Shelby County Airport Authority, Downtown Memphis Commission, Existing Business, Workforce and Greater Memphis Medical Device Council. There will be a dinner that night followed by time on Beale Street. The event will end on Friday beginning with breakfast at The Peabody’s Capriccio Grill with members of the Memphis/Shelby County Economic Development Team, followed by optional tours of Graceland, Stax or National Civil Rights Museum.
Middle Tennessee Red Carpet Tour
September 19-22, 2019 | Williamson County
TEP will be supporting the upcoming Middle Tennessee Red Carpet Tour hosted by Williamson Inc. The event will include a Welcome Dinner upon arrival on Thursday. Friday will include a community tour of Williamson County and local fare dinner. On Saturday and Sunday, guests will experience VIP treatment at the Pilgrimage Festival at Harlinsdale Farm in Downtown Franklin, featuring Foo Fighters, The Killers, Keith Urban and many more.
